Print 'N' Roll: Subway Ruins (Texture Roller and Terrain Set)

Cracked platforms and tiled walls, broken tracks, scattered debris, and echoes of a forgotten undercity

Hey Miniature Makers!

This month, we’re heading underground to recreate an iconic urban battleground with Subway Ruins. Inside, you’ll find a set of highly detailed texture rollers designed to make laying out damaged tiled walls, concrete tunnel sections, and subway tracks quick and easy. These include some classic, versatile textures that can work great on a variety of boards, bases, and projects.

Of course, we’ve included plenty of add-on goodies to go with it. This month’s set features a full subway train with motor and passenger cars, letting you build your train as long (or as broken) as you like. You’ll also find rail sections for those who prefer printed tracks, a subway entrance to lead the way below, and a selection of smaller scatter pieces to help sell the scene.

Texture Rollers:

Subway Tracks
This is the essential roller for a subway set, the tracks themselves! The roller features subway rails along with a concrete bed and drainage system. You can use this roller to roll out a whole subway system or to get some great bases for post-apocalyptic or modern games!

Subway Wall
This is the damaged tile wall of the subway station, the tiles chipped away and broken from heavy use and the passage of time. This wall would look very cool with some graffiti painted on it. For this, you can print out designs on paper and cut them to make easy spray templates.

Subway Tunnel Wall
This is the clad brick wall of the subway tunnel, where the slow ingress of water and drips from the pipe systems have worn the walls back to the brick. We based this wall very closely on the actual walls of the NY subway.

Subway Platform

This is the platform of the subway station with large concrete tiles and non-slip tiles at the edge of the platforms. Remember when you paint these to make the edges yellow!

Abandoned Subway Platform
This is the same platform, but destroyed and worn down, perfect for making a ruined and abandoned subway station for post-apocalyptic games and dioramas.

Scatter Terrain:

Subway Cars

Print one or two pieces as feature obstacles, or build an entire subway train for your table. With both motor and passenger cars included, you can create the perfect setup for your board. Paint them up as clean, in-service cars, or knock them off the rails and cover them in graffiti for something a little more… out of service.

Subway Entrance

This is a perfect piece for multi-level maps that need a clear transition from above ground to below. These modern, iconic structures help tie the whole scene together, and the signage has been left blank for custom paint jobs, or even printed cutouts if you want to push the detail further.

Subway Rails

This 4-piece rail set includes one undamaged section for those looking to create a more "intact" setup. The remaining pieces feature damaged variations, giving you plenty of visual interest even when repeated, which is ideal for longer runs of printed track.

Subway Scatter

The humble subway bench and garbage can. These are some of the few fixtures you’ll always find on a platform, and they’re a great way to break up open space, add cover, and help ground the scene with a few extra familiar details.
